Are the flowers along my sidewalk tulips?

We moved to our new home in December. Now that the snow has melted away and we can see the yard again, I've noticed some flowers coming up along the sidewalk. Right now it's just the leaves, so I am not 100% sure what they all are. I know that some of them are lillies, but there are also another kind. The leaves are green, and are pinkish/red along the edges. They are pretty stiff also, and look folded (like a rolled piece of paper).

My fiance says that he thinks they are tulips, but neither of us are sure. Does this sound like them? Or could they be something else? Just curious! Thanks for any help =)

Tulips, Daffodils ,Crocus, could be anything I guess you will have to wait and see
Reply:Well the great thing about tulips is that there are many and I mean many different kind of tulips they all look alot alike when they are coming out of the ground, this time of year I have them coming up they are out of the ground about 4-6 inches but I have some in different areas of my yard which are not up yet and basically this depends on the variety there are little tulips big tulips tall tulips parrot tulips peony tulips and the list goes on some bloom real early and some come up at little later(I live in Montana)I have tulips that dont bloom until May so if you are kind of interested in the different bulbs go to the Brecks Holland Bulbs and look at the many different tulip bulbs they have its alot of fun.(my Lillie's start coming up in mid April but for the most part they dont bloom until June)
Reply:yeah i'm pretty sure those r tulips cuz my leaves have that pinkish red along the edges. crocus have thinner leaves.

the 2 i think that are growing r 1. most likely tulips and 2. maybe daffodils
Reply:Yeah, it does sound like tulips.
Reply:The leaves you described as green with pinkish red edges and rolled like a piece of paper are definitely tulips. I have the same. Also, the leaves you thought were lilies could be daffodils. They have straight leaves (or blades) and stand straight up and are about a 1/2" wide. It'll be fun to discover! Happy Spring!
Reply:not tulips. When tulips come up they have long straight dark green leaves. Not sure what they could be.
Reply:Could be hostas too. You'll know in a few weeks anyway.
