Can anybody explain this poem to me?

She tells her love while half asleep,

In the dark hours,

With half words whispered low:

As Earth stirs in her winter sleep

And puts out grass and flowers

Despite the snow

Despite the falling snow

Can anybody explain this poem to me?
I view it as a tribute to enduring but unrequited Love.

The words "half asleep," "dark hours," "half words," and "whispered low" all convey to me a sense of fading, unrequited love.

The last four lines signify the endurance and optimism of love.

The contrast of Earth putting out "grass and flowers," in spite of the snow, is saying that love shall go on, no matter the cost. And that is further emphasized in the last line by the use of "falling snow" instead of simply repeating the previous line.

Reply:can't help you
Reply:maybe.....there is a girl that wnats to confess her love to somebody but she is too afraid so she tell it in the night. the earth is trying to comfort her for her shyness so it puts out grass and flowers(bravery) to hide the falling snow(shyness).
Reply:its about the global warming; go figure out why
