What is the approximate time you think we have left on this earth?

The food shortage is starting (rice, wheat etc.) There are food riots and food shortages all around the world. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/20...

IMF Says U.S. In Worst Economic Crisis Since Great Depression. http://prisonplanet.com/articles/april20...

We are losing our honey bees. More Earthquakes. There were over 600 earthquakes in a 10 day period by Newport OR.

Weird weather (flowers blooming in the winter, snow falling during the spring). There is so much more.....How many years/months/days do we have left?

What is the approximate time you think we have left on this earth?
The 2039 asteroid is gonna get us all =/

This kilometer-size asteroid could pass particularly close to the Earth on August 7, 2027. The passage in 2027 could be as close as 37,000 km from the Earth's center (just 19,000 miles above the Earth's surface), but no closer. The miss distance is still very uncertain, and the asteroid could easily pass well outside the Moon's orbit. The probability of a collision in 2027 is essentially zero.

BUT...

There is still a possibility that asteroid 1999 AN10 could pass by Earth in 2027 in such a way as to return in the year 2039 on an impacting trajectory.

The asteroid is big enough to have the same effect on us as the one that wiped out the dinosaurs. Global-Catastrophe.

Oh, and the mayan people beleived that the fifth-sun would set in 2012. Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it's likely they've got the end of the world right as well.

To back up the mayans solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with so much radiation energy, it's been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest it'll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012.

More 2012 evidence anyone?

Scientists in Europe have been building the world's largest particle accelerator. Basically its a 27km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the Universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it's properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They're predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn't bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act aswell. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between Good an Evil, has been set down for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

Yellowstone National Park in the United States is famous for its thermal springs and Old Faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple - it's sitting on top of the world's biggest volcano, and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we're many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

This one's case of bog-simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berekely Uni have been crunching the numbers. and they've determined that the Earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they're claiming their calculations prove, that we're all going to die, very soon - while also saying their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 percent- and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that sheilds us from most of the sun's radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call north and south have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so - and right now we're about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is underway, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.

So it doesn't look like we're gonna survive 2012 and even if we do we'll all die in 2039 anyways ^^
Reply:The world ends about every six years.... I've lived through several of them.

All of those things you have listed, have happened over and over since the dawn of time...

The most significant thing you have listed there is the honeybees.......

Food shortages are caused by overpopulation, nature will depopulate if you don't...

Earthquakes and weather runs in cycles that humans don't understand yet......
Reply:Well that depends on your age. Now if your talking humanity I think 30 years or sooner this will be more changes than we want to think of. Build on every inch of land, use corn for fuel ( stupid to do) It can be changed but I really think at this point devine intervention is the only way. As for as the 2012 stuff I do not belive that. Humanity has time left for many generations its just how will they live and the quality of living will be. comapared to todays and the last generations.
Reply:Unanswerable but fascinating question, probably a few 10s of 1000s of years but who knows ?.

Definitely not as long as sharks which have lived without significant evolutionary change for 350,000,000 years . We have a total human period probably much less less than 5 million years, and most of that period people were our ape ancestors not modern people. Modern people's total existence is a fraction of a million years

Reply:I have my own theory. i have researched some of the happenings that you have mentioned and have my own opinions but I prefer to believe that humans will die off when there is nothing left to learn or discover. We are creatures who crave knowledge. When there is no satisfying that craving, we have nothing to live for.
Reply:Most stuff that is happening is due to the War and the earth IS changing , yet i doubt the Earth will come to an End.

God created this World and wouldn't let humans destroy it !!!

Everything will be better in a few years from now.
Reply:The time left on here on Earth is different for everyone. When a person dies, that is the end of their world.

People have been saying that the end of the world is coming since the beginning of time.
Reply:I don't really know.... I do know that predicting the end is not what I am about, but I plan on enjoying my life to the fullest while i am here.
Reply:October 2008. George has only one more toy to play with and it is the Nuclear arsenol. He IS goingto use it.
Reply:well....on the history channel it said the world will end at 2012 but then they said it was gonna end at 2000

so i really can't say
Reply:Don't forget about the boy who ate a pack of pop rocks, drank a soda and exploded. I heard it's going to happen in 2012
Reply:I would say about 500 more years, i guess its a good thing im gonna be dead by then=D
Reply:Roughly one billion years.
Reply:I'm guessing (hoping) I have around 60 years left.
Reply:Yourself, you have about a week left.

The rest of us will be here for a very long time.
Reply:Until God decides to rid of us.
Reply:only time can tell....
Reply:i say 50-100 years
Reply:who knows but i doubt anytime soon
