What are the reasonings of the current weather swings?

Has anybody been struck with fear from the recent snow storm?


Could it be a natural omen or a random storm that could have been potentially worse?





Where I'm trying to go with this is why are there so many rnadom changes in weather conditions and what effects are they haveing, as well as what they could become.





For example: Say this April snow storm could have been slightly colder and longer, freezing many plants and other organisms acorss the continent that are incapable of withstanding winter weather in their spring prime?





Wether you're realistic about your answer (global warming....) or Sci Fi (tilting the ecosystem destroying almost that of the entire nation....), I'm curious to see what answers, logical and imaginitive, may come about.





I am curious to know if such a storm is possible enough to destroy so many flowers, all animals depending on it suffer and next years generation is never pollinated.

What are the reasonings of the current weather swings?
Strange as it may seem if you're living through unusual weather conditions there really hasn't been anything that out of the ordinary - not at least with respect to snow storms. The only real anomolies concern temperatures in some parts of the world with Europe for example, having just had a record breaking warm winter.





The snowstorms and the like are not exceptional weather events, unusual in some cases but not unprecedented by a long margin.





The effects of global warming occur over many years and cause a trend in unusual weather events as opposed to a sudden change. There will, by all accounts, be more severe weather but averaged out over many decades the year on year changes won't be all that noticeable. There will of course be exceptions but then there always have been exceptional weather conditions.
