What Happened to Autumn?

It was the craziest year I can remember and I have lived for many years! My leaves stayed on the trees until late November and, when the first snow came at that time, there were green leaves laying on top the white blanket of snow.





Fall is usually a time of rain, of crisp winds, of a few golden days of sunshine reflecting the beauty of the trees. This year, there was little rain, lots of sunshine on the green leaves, and many of the flowers blooming in the garden.





What happened to Autumn? Will it come back next year? Is it just another facet of Global Warming? How did it go in other parts of the country, in other parts of the world?

Yes, I think it has to do with the global warming, unfortunately.


Here in Barcelona it's been like that for a few years. Summers get longer and warmer, winters get shorter and the middle seasons seem to exist for only a week or so. How sad... I love summer but anyways this isn's good at all. We're lose the variety of climates and many animal species too.


I remember how it was when I was little... and there's a big difference.





Maybe next year it will be a bit better, but the tendency is to get warmer.

Reply:I think Global Warming is a con. It's not some product of human interaction as much as a natural cycle of the planet. It's in a constant state of flux, changing climates constantly. Can anyone predict the next 100 years accurately? No. We can't even predict tomorrow accurately. Perhaps the world will be as hot as it was in the age of dinosaurs, and perhaps we will have an ice age to follow, but how could we possibly know? We can't.
Reply:It's gone.... summer has taken over and we're all going to die!
Reply:It was the driest summer and autumn here ever on record...no rain till we wanted to dig a basement to build our house in late fall....I think it is our fault it started to rain...our trees actually started to change colour early because of the extreme dry weather, then all the leaves fell off at once...late...when the rains started to come.
Reply:Ahh the weather is just wacky! No tellin what its gonna be like this winter. I think it is actually kinda exciting hehe.
Reply:The earth has been kinda funky lately due to Global Warming. Autumn will prob be back in 1-2 thousand years lol
